Fleurette Art
Original impressionist oil paintings of Hawaii
by Jeannine Levitt-Riccio

When I am bewildered, I find refuge in the world of my creation.
Poets create worlds with words. Fleurette creates with paint. Jeannine Levitt-Riccio has always been an artist.
As a young child, instead of concentrating on her religious studies, Jeannine painted the beautiful flowers in the convent gardens, thus earning her the name Fleurette.
She is influenced by the works of the French Impressionist masters, capturing the light and feel of the moment, especially in landscape.
After traveling the world and living in Paris, New York, and Palm Springs, she now focuses her energy on her paintings. Her true talents emerged when she moved to Hawaii 30 years ago. The awe-inspiring beauty and power of the sea, in conjunction with the majesty of the mountains stirred the artist to create new works focusing on the spiritual and emotive aspects of the landscape. They are expressions of an inner world of beauty and a deep appreciation for nature.
We invite you to experience the beauty that is Fleurette.

Jeannine Levitt-Riccio can often be found painting en pleine air.  The beauty of Hawaiian landscapes inspires her paintings, but the expression comes from within.
